The New York Post editorial board details how Twitter censored the story of Hunter Biden's laptop prior to the 2020 presidential elections.
Polling data has shown that had people known about the laptop it would have changed enough votes to swing the election in favor of President Trump. Because so many people get their news from social media they never even heard of the laptop.
It was the Post that broke the story about the incriminating evidence but it was deemed on the Left to be fake news or Russian disinformation. Twitter suspended the Post's account and the accounts of anyone who tried to share the story.
Facebook also engaged in censorship after it was warned by the F.B.I. that the story was untrue.
Musk tweeted :
“Twitter has failed in trust and safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections."
As much as the Left complains about fake news, collusion and election interference it is quite clear that they need to look in a mirror. The issue here is that the laptop story did not conform to the Left's narrative. Opposing views that don't uphold the party line must be canceled or censored. Conservatives are not permitted free speech.

"The prospect of people voicing unapproved opinions is breaking the brains of progressives across the media landscape."
Townhall contributor Spencer Brown writes about the new RNC advisory panel that is tasked with reviewing what went wrong in the 2022 midterm elections.
"The review group's autopsy report is expected to start following next week's U.S. Senate runoff election in Georgia."
If You Want to Destroy America Follow Joe Biden
Townhall contributor Victor Davis Hanson concludes if you want to destroy America then simply follow Joe Biden's agenda for the past two years.
"It would be hard to imagine any planned agenda to destroy America that would have been as injurious as what we already suffered the last two years."
House Republicans Strike Down Ban on Earmarks
Townhall contributor Rebecca Downs says that Republicans shamed themselves by voting against a ban on earmarks.
Earmarks are the wasteful spending riders that are attached to legislation for pet projects in local Congressional districts. Politicians like to bring home the bacon to their constituents as a way of buying votes.
"In a strongly worded statement for Townhall, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) called it 'a shameful display of swamp politics.'"
Alan Dershowitz: "San Francisco Guilty of Racial Discrimination"
Just the News contributor Charlotte Hazard followed up on a story we posted last time. In our article, From the Socialist Republic of California, we informed our readers about the San Francisco Election Commission Director whose contract was not renewed simply because the commission voted to open the position in the name of racial equity.
The director, John Arntz, is a white male. He has served in this position for 20 years.
Dershowitz said,
"It's a clear violation of the Equal Protection Clause. I don't know how the San Francisco lawyers think they're gonna get away with this. This is one of the easiest racial discrimination cases ever."
Kanye West Withdraws Offer to Buy Parler
Just the News contributor Ben Whedon reports that Kanye West has reached a mutual agreement not to buy the conservative social media platform Parler.
"The announcement from Parler comes on the same day that Ye appeared in an interview with Infowars host Alex Jones in which he said 'I see good things about Hitler. We gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time.'"
