The Left's War on Family

In the Communist Manifesto (1884), Karl Marx specifically targeted the family. In order to usher in his communist utopia, the nuclear family had to be abolished.

Lenin wrote:

“Destroy the family, you destroy the nation.”

Understand that communist principles, absent violent revolution, are enacted incrementally.

One of BLM’s guiding tenets, for example, is to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure”. BLM denies that it wants to abolish the nuclear family, but only make it more inclusive as in “it takes a village”.

Of course, “village” is a euphemism for the “state”.

Marx believed that marriage was nothing more than a convenient financial arrangement that served as the cornerstone of the capitalist system.

To destroy capitalism, you must first destroy the family.

Frederick Engels believed that the traditional family upheld the principles of individual rights such as owning private property. Home ownership was viewed as the bedrock of a stable family structure.

(Communists would have us all living in cramped, rat-infested, concrete tenement buildings — not exactly an ideal place to raise a family.)

Marx called for the radicalization and engagement of women in order to topple the family unit which, he asserted, upheld a patriarchal system. He believed that socialism was in harmony with how women think. It was important, therefore, that women had the right to vote. Voting patterns suggest that Marx was right as more women vote Democrat than Republican.

As for children, they are property of the state. Marx wrote that communism would “rescue children from the education and influence of their parents”.

In 1917, Russia’s Commissar for Welfare wrote:

“The old family, narrow and petty, where the parents quarrel and are only interested in their own offspring, is not capable of educating the ‘new person’.”

Marx had this idea of creating the New Man — educated and indebted to the state.

There was nationwide resistance to Hillary Clinton’s 1996 book, “It Takes a Village”. Americans weren’t so sedated that they couldn’t perceive the Marxist undertones.

At the 1996 Republican National Convention, Republican Party nominee Bob Dole said:

“… with all due respect, I am here to tell you, it does not take a village to raise a child. It takes a family to raise a child.”

Gender Indoctrination

The sexual indoctrination of our children is shocking, but not unknown. In 1919, George Lukacs, Hungary’s Education Commissar, revised public education to include instruction on sexual perversion.

Lukacs biographer wrote:

“Special lectures were organized in schools and literature printed and distributed to ‘instruct’ children about free love, about the nature of sexual intercourse, about the archaic nature of bour­geois family codes, about the outdatedness of monogamy, and the irrelevance of religion, which deprives man of all pleasure. Children urged thus to reject and deride paternal authority and the authority of the church, and to ignore precepts of morality.”

Doesn’t that pretty much describe what we are seeing today? Aren’t children told not to trust their parents?

The advocacy of sexual liberation and perversion was designed to destroy the moral foundation of the nuclear family thus causing it to crumble under the weight of irrelevancy.

Herbert Marcuse, author of 1959’s “Eros and Civilization”, wrote that sexual indoctrination is intended to ‘disintegrate the patriarchal, monogamous family’.

(Marcuse was a communist academic who fled to the United States to escape Hitler.)

A Time for Choosing

What it all comes down to is that people have a choice to make — freedom and liberty or servitude. The latter is very appealing if you are willing to cede all rights and responsibilities to the state. The former does require self-initiative and personal accountability which, frankly, is very scary to those who would gladly trade their liberty for security.

The tactics and goals of America’s left should surprise no one. Eric Mann, communist activist and former member of the Weather Underground (Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn) said in a 2015 interview that issues didn’t matter. Whether it was women’s rights, social justice, racial justice or climate change, the end goal is to overthrow the United States of America.

I am going to climb out on a limb and recalibrate my thinking. I often identify the Left as Liberal Fascists, but they are not fascists. Let’s begin to call them what they are — dyed in the wool Communists.

They call us ‘fascists’ only because we resist them. Just as they called Charles Lindbergh, Henry Ford, and Joseph Kennedy ‘fascists’ for being sympathetic to pre-war Germany’s resistance to communist Russia.

I noted earlier that, absent a violent upheaval, communism is content on achieving its goals one step at a time. It begins with indoctrinating the children, devaluing parents and older people, devaluing life, focusing on emotionally charged issues, demonizing the opposition, and erasing a nation’s history so that its citizens feel no patriotism or allegiance to something as arcane as the Constitution.

We have only ourselves to blame if they succeed.
