Protesting Parents Compared to Jan 6 Rioters

At a hearing by the House Judiciary Committee, Georgia Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson compared parents who protest at school board meetings with the Jan 6 Capitol rioters:

"Today, what we are seeing on this committee is an attempt by my friends on the other side of the aisle to continue demonizing school boards, local school boards, local school board members, school administrators, parents and teachers. These school board meetings have become a place where MAGA extremists go to disrupt based on false and deceptive information imparted to them by the former president and his MAGA extremist followers, deception about what’s being taught to our children."

And what is being taught to our children?

  • Gender Queer Sex
  • Gender Reordering Instruction
  • Homosexual Role Playing
  • Critical Race Theory
  • America is Illegitimate
  • America is an Evil Empire
  • America was Founded by Patriarchal, Privileged, Racist White Men
  • BLM and Antifa are Freedom Fighters
  • The Constitution and the Bible are Oppressive, Feudal Documents

Gender Queer, a book found in public school libraries across the nation, caused a national uproar when it was learned that children are being taught about explicit homosexual activities.

The text and images are graphic. Parents who attempted to read the book at school board meetings were ordered to leave. Facebook suspended the account of one parent who shared images which were deemed to be offensive and in violation of the platform's guidelines.

So the material is too offensive for Facebook but not a school library? A Texas school administrator said, "We don't ban books".

Hmm, really? The following books have been banned or challenged by universities, colleges, and public schools across the country. This is only a partial list:

  • "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
  • "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain
  • The "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling
  • "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck
  • "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher
  • "1984" by George Orwell
  • "Animal Farm" by George Orwell
  • "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison
  • "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley
  • "Brideshead Revisited" by Evelyn Waugh
  • "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • "The Catcher in the Rye" by JD Salinger
  • "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck
  • "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker
  • "Ulysses" by James Joyce
  • "Beloved" by Toni Morrison
  • "The Lord of the Flies" by William Golding

The books have been deemed politically incorrect because they portray insensitive sexist or racist stereotypes -- but showing children images of gay men engaged in oral sex is okay.

Douglas Blair was an elementary school teacher who witnessed firsthand what is being taught to children. In a blog commentary he wrote:

Children are being indoctrinated. The education system has been weaponized by the radical left to push an anti-American agenda.

As someone who has worked in education for four years, I have seen how children are being ensnared by the left and their teachers.

I worked with kids from ages 3 to 13 and saw the brainwashing that exists at all levels of education. The left uses a combination of propaganda and suppression to push kids into the ensnaring grip of socialism and anti-patriotism.

The young adults who today gleefully tear down statues of the Founding Fathers were incubated in our very own schools, groomed to burst from the education system and burn America down.

The left argues the great men and women who built this nation are problematic and must be destroyed. Conservatives must demand an end to the indoctrination of our youth or face a new American public taught since childhood that the country shouldn’t exist.

At the behest of the National School Board Association (NSBA) and the Justice Department, the House Judiciary Committee is conducting hearings on a resolution to condemn parents who protest at school board meetings. In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, the NSBA likened these parents to "domestic terrorists".

The left always obscures the truth. What is at stake here is whether parents have the right to monitor their child's education. Is the student being taught how to read and write?

Liberal sources rank the United States number one in education. The reality, however, is that test scores have fallen below the global average.

The Department of Education reported:

Students in 2022 are performing at a level last seen two decades ago. Fewer 9-year-olds now have the basic reading and math skills they need. This puts their futures – and our nation’s – at great risk.

So, then, what exactly are children being taught? How to be gay and hate their country.
